CM Yogi Adityanath Launches Uttar Pradesh’s First Double-Decker Electric Bus in Lucknow
On a significant day for public transportation in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the state’s first double-decker electric bus service in Lucknow. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve public transport facilities.
The launch event took place in Lucknow, where CM Yogi flagged off the new electric bus. In a move to encourage more women to use public transport, he announced a 50% discount on tickets for women traveling on these buses. Additionally, women can travel for free on the heritage route every Saturday morning.
CM Yogi shared his excitement about the launch on social media, stating, “Participated in the program organized for the inauguration of Aakanksha Haat in Lucknow today. On this occasion, the first double-decker EV bus of Uttar Pradesh was flagged off; special discounts on tickets are being offered to women passengers in this bus.”
He also extended his congratulations to the women of Uttar Pradesh and expressed his appreciation for the Aakanksha Committee and the Urban Development Department for their efforts.
