CM Chandrababu Naidu Inspects Flooded Vijayawada Amid Heavy Rainfall
Amid heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, various areas of Vijayawada faced severe waterlogging, leading to a flood-like situation. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inspected the affected areas on Monday.
Aerial visuals showed several parts of the city inundated. CM Naidu stated, “We are streamlining the system, and 110 boats are currently working to supply food and provide medical assistance. I am regularly monitoring the floods, and officials are actively working on the ground.”
He added that command and control centers are being set up in the flood-affected regions. The Budameru Canal and Singhnagar experienced significant waterlogging due to the incessant downpour. Officials are monitoring the situation for timely rescue operations and food supply.
Earlier, CM Naidu visited Singhnagar and instructed officials to distribute food and water bottles to the affected people. He personally supervised the distribution to ensure it reached everyone. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is providing all possible support and that he will be working from the NTR District Collector’s office until the issues are resolved.
For the next four days, isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are expected to experience thunderstorms with lightning.
