CM Bhupendra Patel Urges Quick Resolution of Citizen Complaints in Gujarat

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, on Thursday, July 26, instructed district and tehsil administrators in the state-level ‘Swagat’ (State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology) program to resolve citizen complaints promptly. He emphasized the need for a proactive approach to prevent issues from escalating to the state level.

Patel said, “It is necessary to remove such a situation where people’s problems are not resolved for a long time at the district and tehsil level ‘Swagat’ and they have to come to the state ‘Swagat’ for this.”

During the state-level ‘Swagat’ online program for July, Patel provided guidance to district administration officials for the speedy resolution of complaints. He also reviewed the performance of Tehsildars in the Tehsil level ‘Swagat’ program and instructed secretaries and district-urban administrators for quick redressal of grievances.

Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Pankaj Joshi, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Avantika Singh, and Officer on Special Duty, Dheeraj Parekh, along with senior officers of the concerned departments, were present.

Earlier, Patel and the Collectors of seven districts affected by heavy rains in Gujarat, along with the Municipal Commissioners of Surat and Vadodara, held a video conference from the State Emergency Operation Center. They reviewed the rain situation and relief operations, giving necessary instructions for evacuations, health and food supply systems, pesticide spraying, cleaning, and removal of fallen trees. The meeting also discussed relief arrangements for human and animal deaths and agricultural damage.
