Chirag Paswan’s Security Upgraded to CRPF’s Z Category

The Central government has decided to transfer the ‘Z category’ security cover of Union Minister Chirag Paswan to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Previously, his security was managed by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). This change follows a recent threat analysis report from the Intelligence Bureau, prompting the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to make the switch. The CRPF will assume responsibility for Chirag’s security in the coming days, providing him with Z category protection across India. Earlier, his security was limited to Bihar. Chirag Paswan, who is the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, was initially granted Z category security by the SSB in January after supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party in assembly bypolls.
