Bridge Collapses in Bihar

Paswan highlighted the seriousness of the issue, noting that repeated bridge collapses are unacceptable. He mentioned that if there has been a compromise in construction quality, it could indicate corruption, and those responsible should be held accountable.

Improving Education in Bihar

Paswan also discussed his vision for improving education in Bihar. He referred to the historical significance of Nalanda University and suggested that Bihar could establish educational systems similar to those in Kota, Rajasthan, to prevent students from migrating out of the state for better education.

Infrastructure and Investment

The Union Minister stressed the need for better physical infrastructure and land reforms in Bihar to attract investments. He also highlighted the potential for religious tourism in the state, which could boost the local economy.

Food Processing Units

Paswan emphasized the importance of setting up food processing units in agricultural zones to increase farmers’ income. He mentioned that processing units for products like bananas, litchis, and mangoes could significantly benefit the state’s economy.

Interlinking of Rivers

Paswan discussed the importance of interlinking rivers to address the issues of floods and droughts in Bihar. He believes that channelizing water from surplus areas to deficient ones is crucial for the state’s development.

Paswan concluded by stating that addressing these key areas could make Bihar the number one state in the country.
