Chirag Paswan Responds to Rahul Gandhi’s Claims About BJP Defeat in Gujarat

Patna (Bihar) [India], July 7: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Chief Chirag Paswan has responded to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about defeating the BJP in Gujarat. Paswan stated that Gandhi’s pride won’t last long as upcoming election results will show the strength of the NDA.

Paswan also welcomed suggestions from the opposition and urged RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to act positively and effectively. He mentioned that the NDA candidate is expected to win the Rapauli assembly constituency by-elections with a resounding majority, similar to the Lok Sabha elections.

Paswan criticized the opposition for spreading misinformation during elections, claiming that Bihar rejected their narrative and chose a double-engine government for development. He corrected Gandhi’s reference to Ayodhya, explaining that it is a Vidhan Sabha constituency, not a Lok Sabha one.

Paswan dismissed allegations from Tejashwi Yadav about a lack of freedom of speech under the NDA regime, stating that there is no crime and that the opposition should play a positive role. He emphasized that making allegations won’t change anything and that the opposition should contribute constructively in Parliament.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had claimed that the Congress and its allies in the INDIA bloc would defeat the BJP in Gujarat, just as they did in Ayodhya. He referred to the BJP’s loss in the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency, which includes Ayodhya, and mentioned the movement started by former BJP chief LK Advani.
