Chirag Paswan and Rahul Gandhi Discuss NEET Exam Controversy

New Delhi, July 1: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has assured that the government will make decisions in the best interest of students regarding the NEET exam controversy. Speaking on Monday, Paswan stated that the government has nothing to hide and that central agencies are investigating the issue of paper leaks.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the NEET exam, calling it a ‘commercial exam’ designed for rich students. He demanded a separate one-day discussion in Parliament, which was denied by the Speaker. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh responded that discussions should follow the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced revised results for the NEET-UG retest held on June 23 for 1563 candidates. The retest followed a controversy over grace marks. The NEET UG exam was conducted on May 5 with 23 lakh candidates, and results were declared on June 4, leading to protests due to multiple issues raised by aspirants.
