Chinar Corps Commander Reviews Security in Kupwara and Baramulla

The Chinar Corps Commander visited forward posts in Kupwara and Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, to review the security situation and operational preparedness. During his visit, he emphasized the importance of being alert and effectively countering any threats along the Line of Control (LC).

His visit came shortly after an incident where two to three armed personnel from Pakistan crossed the LC and fired on a forward Army post in the Machhal Sector of Kupwara. One intruder was killed, and an Indian Army soldier was injured and later succumbed to his injuries.

Earlier in July, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with Army 46 RR, arrested a terror associate linked to the proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF in Baramulla. Incriminating materials, arms, and ammunition were recovered from his possession.

LeT/TRF -: LeT stands for Lashkar-e-Taiba, and TRF stands for The Resistance Front. Both are groups involved in terrorist activities, mainly in the Kashmir region.
