Chief Ministers Pushkar Singh Dhami and Yogi Adityanath Prepare for Kanwar Yatra 2024
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved an amount of Rs three crores to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Kanwar Yatra 2024. This fund is allocated for various arrangements and has been made available to the District Magistrate of Haridwar.
Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the importance of providing necessary facilities to the devotees, maintaining peace, law and order, and managing traffic during the Yatra. Additional Secretary Urban Development Nitin Bhadoria clarified that the funds should be used according to financial rules and for essential works only.
In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director-General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar visited Ayodhya to inspect the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra, which will begin on July 22. They reviewed the Yatra’s route, traffic management, and security measures. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had previously directed thorough preparations for the event.
DGP Prashant Kumar assured the media of the government’s commitment to ensuring maximum convenience and safety for all Kanwar Yatra pilgrims.
