Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has transferred Rs 9 crore 64 lakh to help businessmen affected by heavy rains in Kedarnath on July 31. The funds will compensate for damages to the pedestrian and motor road from Lincholi to Sonprayag.

The Chief Minister had earlier approved Rs 9 crore 08 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund based on a proposal from the District Magistrate Rudraprayag. An additional Rs 56 lakh was later approved, making the total relief amount Rs 9 crore 64 lakh, which was sent to the affected people through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Chief Minister Dhami described the disaster as a sad incident and praised the quick rescue operation carried out with the help of local people and the administration. He assured that the state government will always be ready to help those affected by disasters.

Efforts are ongoing to make the Kedarnath Yatra route more accessible, and the Char Dham Yatra has resumed its pace. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is being done on various schemes worth crores to improve the Kedarnath area, benefiting both local residents and visiting devotees.

The state government is committed to the development of the Kedarnath area and is determined to support the local people in every possible way.
