Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the temporary relief camp at Government Inter College Vinak Khal in Tehri to check on the arrangements for those affected by a recent disaster. He emphasized the importance of proper care for children, pregnant women, elderly, and disabled individuals in the camp.

During his visit, the Chief Minister met with the disaster-affected people, inquired about their well-being, and listened to their problems. He expressed deep condolences for the loss of life and prayed for the peace of the departed souls and strength for the affected families.

Dhami highlighted the challenges posed by Uttarakhand’s geographical conditions and praised the district administration for their quick response. He assured that both the Government of India and the State Government are standing with the affected people. Plans for the rehabilitation and displacement of villages like Tingarh and Kot are in progress, with a focus on rebuilding infrastructure such as security walls, schools, bridges, and embankments.

District Magistrate Mayur Dixit mentioned that a geological survey has been conducted for Tingarh village, and land identification for rehabilitation is ongoing. The process of displacing 28 families from Kot village is also underway, and a temporary cowshed has been set up for about 100 animals from Tingarh.
