Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 28: Relief and rescue operations are underway in response to heavy rains and landslides in the Bal Ganga and Budha Kedar areas of the Bhilangana development block in Tehri Garhwal. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gathered information about the operations from MLA Shakti Lal Shah and District Magistrate Mayur Dixit.

Dhami instructed the District Magistrate to identify sensitive villages and relocate residents to safer places. He also asked for arrangements to be made for the safety of cattle and other domestic animals. Essential services like electricity and drinking water are being prioritized in relief camps, and immediate financial relief is being provided to the victims.

District Magistrate Mayur Dixit reported that two women were found dead under debris in Toli village, while an injured man, Virendra Singh, has been admitted to PHC Beleshwar. Rescue teams from SDRF, Police, Revenue, and Health Departments are actively working on the ground.
