In Kurukshetra, Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed confidence in the BJP forming the government for the third time as votes are counted for the Haryana Assembly elections. Saini emphasized the BJP’s honest work for Haryana’s development over the past ten years, contrasting it with Congress’s alleged corruption. He stated, “BJP has worked with honesty for all sections of society.”

On the day of vote counting, Saini visited the Shri Dakshin Mukhi Hanuman Temple and the Saini Samaj Dharamshala, interacting with party workers and supporters. He is contesting from the Ladwa assembly constituency in Kurukshetra district.

Vote Counting Process

Counting of votes began at 8 am, starting with postal ballots followed by EVM counting. Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal announced 93 counting centers across 22 districts for 90 assembly constituencies. Two centers each are set up for Badshahpur, Gurugram, and Pataudi constituencies, with one center for the remaining constituencies.

To ensure security, 30 companies of Central Armed Police Forces and around 12,000 police personnel are deployed at the counting centers. The centers are under a three-tier security cover, with central security forces in the innermost layer.
