On Monday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed the District Collectors at the Secretariat, marking the beginning of the state’s development. He emphasized the need for efficient governance and introduced the ‘Pedala Sevalo’ program, where officials will mingle with people on the 1st of every month.

Naidu announced that a vision document for the state’s development would be released on October 2. He expressed regret over the previous government’s inefficient policies and stressed the need to restore the state’s reputation. He urged IAS officers to make frequent ground-level visits and respond to people’s appeals with empathy.

Naidu directed officials to counter fake propaganda and disseminate useful information through social media. He expressed confidence that the decisions made at the conference would pave the way for future generations and predicted that Andhra Pradesh would become the third-largest economy by 2029.

He highlighted the importance of innovative thinking, efficient water management, and interlinking rivers to boost agriculture. Naidu directed the District Collectors to prepare an action plan to fill reservoirs and ponds, ensure proper irrigation, and monitor water release to canals. He also suggested using drones to monitor irrigation projects.
