Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Approves Major Projects in Bhopal Cabinet Meeting
On Tuesday, a cabinet meeting was held in Bhopal under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers approved several significant projects and amendments.
Chitrangi Micro Irrigation Project
The cabinet gave administrative approval for a Rs 1320.14 crore pressurised micro irrigation project in Singrauli district. This project will benefit 132 villages in Chitrangi tehsil and 10 villages in Devsar tehsil, covering a total irrigation area of 32,125 hectares.
Cyber Tehsil Project
Approval was granted to provide adequate staff for the Cyber Tehsil Project. This includes transferring 10 Tehsildar posts, 15 Naib Tehsildar posts, and three Assistant Class-3 category posts. Additionally, two peons will be appointed through outsourcing.
Amendment to Municipal Corporation Act
The cabinet approved an amendment to replace the term “two years” with “three years” in Section 43-A of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1961. This section pertains to motions of no confidence moved by elected Councillors.
Women Empowerment Center
Under Mission Shakti, the Women Empowerment Center will operate in all districts until the 15th Finance Commission period of 2025-26. A total of 364 posts, including District Mission Coordinator, Gender Specialist, Financial Literacy Specialist, Accounts Assistant, IT Assistant, and M.T.S., were approved for these centers. The Women and Child Development Department will fill these posts as per the prescribed procedure.
