Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and PM Modi Celebrate 10th International Yoga Day

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga with a series of events across multiple locations, including the Supreme Court of India, Kendriya Vidyalaya-NTPC campus, and AIIA’s Goa campus.

National Celebrations Led by PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the national celebrations at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, emphasizing Yoga’s significance in nurturing physical, mental, and spiritual growth.

Supreme Court Event

The Ayush Wellness Centre of AIIA at the Supreme Court conducted a Common Yoga Protocol session, attended by Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, senior judges, and AIIA officials. Justice Chandrachud highlighted Yoga’s role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and spiritual enlightenment.

Chief Justice’s Message

Justice Chandrachud said, “We enthusiastically celebrate International Day of Yoga like any other Indian festival. Celebrating Yoga Day highlights our commitment towards our nation. It delivers a message of living an ideal life with a healthy lifestyle. Yoga is not only a part of exercise but also a journey towards spiritual enlightenment.” He also discussed the 4S of yoga: ‘Siddhanth’ (principles), ‘Samanwaya’ (coordination), ‘Sadbhavana’ (Goodwill), and ‘Sashaktikaran’ (empowerment).

Events at Kendriya Vidyalaya and Goa

AIIA organized a Yoga Session at Kendriya Vidyalaya, NTPC campus, attended by AIIA Director Prof Tanuja Nesari, Kendriya Vidyalaya Principal Akhileshwar Jha, and other faculty members. Around 350 students participated, performing various cultural activities.

In Goa, AIIA celebrated with a Yoga Fusion session and a Common Yoga Protocol for 200 participants at the Military camp in Bambolim. Special Yoga stamps were released for OPD patients, highlighting harmony and inner peace.

Ongoing Yoga Programs

AIIA has been organizing yoga programs since May 21, including motivational speaker sessions, yoga asanas, quiz competitions, and yoga awareness campaigns. The institute promotes holistic health through traditional Ayurveda integrated with modern scientific methods.
