Chhattisgarh CM Announces Diwali Bonus for State Employees
In Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced a 4% increase in the dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees, raising it to 50%. This decision was made ahead of Diwali and will be effective from October 1. The announcement was made before a cabinet meeting, where CM Sai stated, “Our government has decided to increase the DA from 46% to 50%.”
Meeting with Prime Minister Modi
Earlier this month, CM Sai met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the state’s development over the past nine months. Key topics included agriculture, skill development, and education. The Chief Minister also updated the Prime Minister on a successful anti-Naxal operation, where 31 Naxals were eliminated in the Narayanpur-Dantewada district. PM Modi praised the security forces’ bravery and approved the construction of eight lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
