Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai laid out the state’s strategies for achieving a developed India by 2047 during the ninth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog. He emphasized the need for a Rain-Water Conservation Research Center and strengthening the National Ground Water Training and Research Institute in Raipur to address water issues and support farmers.

Chief Minister Sai informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the state’s priorities, focusing on education, human resource development, health, and technological advancement. He highlighted the state’s goal to double its GSDP from Rs 5.05 lakh crore to Rs 10 lakh crore in the next five years.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of preparing skilled human resources by linking education to vocational skills and training. He announced the initiation of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID Card’ (APAAR ID) for every student in the state, which will store all educational information digitally.

Plans for better health services, sustainable development, and cultural preservation were also shared. Economic empowerment initiatives include producing Chhattisgarh Super Foods and promoting local products. The state aims to expand artificial intelligence, IT, and physical infrastructure like roads and digital facilities.

Sai appealed for central cooperation to improve power supply in rural areas and announced plans to make 100 villages fully reliant on renewable energy. He also mentioned that drinking water will reach 96% of households by March 2026.

Mobile medical units are being deployed to improve health services in tribal areas, and land records are being digitized to increase transparency and reduce corruption. The Chief Minister thanked PM Modi for his support and expressed hope for achieving the vision of Developed India 2047 with central assistance.

The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of various states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, members of the Governing Council, and Chhattisgarh’s Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain.
