Raipur (Chhattisgarh), September 28: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has launched a new initiative to honor excellence in the travel and tourism industry. Each year, on the state’s foundation day, special awards will be given to those who demonstrate outstanding performance in tourism.
The announcement was made during the Central India Connect Marketplace event in Naya Raipur, co-hosted by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and the Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association. The event saw participation from key representatives of the tourism and hospitality industry across Central India.
This initiative aims to attract travel and tourism companies by offering recognition and rewards for their contributions. Chief Minister Sai emphasized the government’s efforts to make Chhattisgarh a prime tourist destination, highlighting the state’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
Chhattisgarh has recently been honored by the Government of India for its tourism achievements. Bastar’s Dudmaras village was recognized for Adventure Tourism, Chitrakote village for Community Best Village, and Sarodhhadar village was listed among the Best Tourism Villages.
The government is focusing on developing Wildlife Tourism, Rural Tourism, and Adventure Tourism to establish Chhattisgarh’s tourism industry on the global stage.
