Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Launches Three New Portals for Better Governance
On August 21, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai introduced three key online portals: the e-Office system, the Chief Minister’s Office Online Portal, and the ‘Swagatam’ Portal. These initiatives are designed to improve efficiency and transparency within the government.
Enhancing Efficiency and Transparency
The Chhattisgarh Government is expanding the use of IT across various sectors to foster e-governance. Chief Minister Sai emphasized that these portals represent a significant step towards good governance, aiming to establish zero tolerance for corruption and ensure transparency in government operations.
e-Office System
The e-Office system will eliminate unnecessary delays in file processing, reduce errors, and enable effective file tracking. Initially introduced in the General Administration Department, it will be gradually extended to all departments. This system will digitize office documents, reducing the time needed to transfer documents between offices and eliminating the risk of document tampering.
Swagatam Portal
The Swagatam Portal will streamline the process for visitors seeking appointments with the Chief Minister, Ministers, and officials at the Mahanadi Bhawan. It will maintain detailed records of visitors, improving the security of the premises.
CMO Portal
The CMO Portal will provide citizens with information about government schemes, programs, public-friendly decisions, and overall government functioning. It will also feature details about Chhattisgarh’s art, culture, history, and other key aspects, along with important information related to various districts across the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dayaldas Baghel, MLAs Motilal Sahu and Gajendra Yadav, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, and other officials were present at the launch event.
