New Delhi [India], June 25: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House to congratulate him on his third term as Prime Minister. During the meeting, they discussed several state initiatives.

Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision 2047

Chief Minister Sai briefed the Prime Minister about ‘Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision 2047’, a vision document being prepared by the State NITI Aayog, to be dedicated to the people on November 1.

Anti-Maoist Operations

Sai informed Modi about recent anti-Maoist operations and a joint action plan to eradicate the Maoist problem. The Niyad Nellanar Yojana aims to weaken the base of Naxalites and restore trust between the government and villagers, with 23 camps covering 90 villages currently operational and plans for 29 more.

Housing and Farmer Incentives

The Chief Minister mentioned the swift approval of housing for 18,12,743 families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), with 1,06,777 houses currently under construction. Rs 3,667 crore has been disbursed to farmers for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 periods under the Paddy Production Incentive Scheme, and Rs 13,287 crore has been transferred to 24.73 lakh farmers through the Krishak Unnati Yojana.

Women’s Empowerment

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana has provided Rs 2,618 crore to 70 lakh women over four months to promote economic self-reliance and empowerment.

Pilgrimage Plan

Sai also mentioned the Shri Ram Lala Darshan Scheme, under which an MOU has been signed with the IRCTC to take over 20 thousand beneficiaries from the state on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya every year.
