In a significant operation, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his happiness as security forces successfully eliminated 31 Naxalites in the Maad area on the Narayanpur-Dantewada border. This two-day operation marks a record-breaking achievement, surpassing the previous record of 29.

The operation was a joint effort by the DRG Dantewada, DRG Narayanpur, and STF teams. They acted on information about 40 to 50 Naxalites gathering for a meeting. The forces surrounded the Naxalites, leading to a heavy exchange of fire. Dantewada SP Gaurav Rai confirmed the recovery of 31 Naxalite bodies and several automatic weapons.
