School and College Closures

The Tamil Nadu government has announced a holiday for schools and colleges in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts on October 15. This decision was made during a review meeting led by Chief Minister MK Stalin.

The Chief Minister has advised IT companies in the affected districts to allow employees to work from home from October 15 to 18.

The Chennai Corporation is ready with 990 pumps, 57 tractors with pump sets, 36 motorboats, and other necessary equipment for rescue operations. They have also prepared 169 camp offices and cooking spaces for emergencies.
