Chennai Police Arrest 8 in Connection with BSP Leader K Armstrong’s Murder

Chennai, Tamil Nadu – The Chennai police have arrested eight people following the brutal killing of Tamil Nadu Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief K Armstrong. Armstrong was attacked and killed by a group of unidentified men near his home in Perambur, Chennai.

Suspected Involvement of Gangster’s Associates

Asra Garg, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), North Chennai, revealed that the suspects are believed to be associates of gangster Arcot Suresh, who was murdered last year. The police have seized seven blood-stained weapons, a Zomato t-shirt, a Zomato bag, and three bikes used in the crime.

Investigation and Arrests

ACP Garg stated that the motive behind the killing appears to be linked to the belief that Armstrong conspired in the murder of Arcot Suresh. Among those arrested is Arcot Suresh’s brother. Special teams have been formed to investigate the case thoroughly.

No Political Angle

Greater Chennai Police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore confirmed that there is no political angle to the murder. The mortal remains of Armstrong have been placed at Corporation School Ground in Chennai for public homage, with many people paying their respects.

Calls for Immediate Action

BSP Chief Mayawati has called for immediate action from the Tamil Nadu government to prevent such incidents in the future. She expressed her shock and urged the government to take strict measures.
