Chemical Accident in Vishakhapatnam and Recent Tragic Incidents in Andhra Pradesh
In Vishakhapatnam, five workers were hospitalized on Saturday after a chemical powder bag broke while being loaded at Sravan Shipping Services Pvt Ltd. According to Vishakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shanka Brata Bagchi, four workers are stable, and one is in the ICU at Simhagiri Hospital, Gajuwaka.
Earlier, on Tuesday, a road accident on the Kadapa-Rayachoti National Highway resulted in the deaths of five people when a container truck collided with a car. Ramapuram CI Venkata Konda Reddy stated that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
On August 21, a reactor explosion at a company in Atchutapuram SEZ, Anakapalli district, led to the deaths of three people and injured seventeen others. Andhra Pradesh Labour, Factories, Boilers & Insurance Medical Services Minister Vasamsetti Subhash reported that the injured were taken to two private hospitals. Rescue operations are ongoing due to dense smoke, and it is unclear how many people may still be trapped inside the company.
