Chandrababu Naidu’s Important Meetings in New Delhi
On Tuesday, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, met with Union Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. This meeting was part of a series of high-level discussions with key leaders, including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy. The discussions included talks about a potential merger between Visakha Steel Plant and the Steel Authority of India.
Meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Earlier, on Monday, CM Naidu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed gratitude for the Cabinet’s approval of revised cost estimates for the Polavaram Project and support for the capital, Amaravati. During this meeting, CM Naidu discussed key developmental projects for Andhra Pradesh and shared the Swarna Andhra@2047 vision, which aims to transform the state into a USD 2.4 trillion economy by 2047.
Other Key Meetings
CM Naidu also met with Union Minister of Railways, IT, and I&B, Ashwini Vaishnaw, to thank him for advancing the establishment of a Railway Zone with Vizag as its headquarters. These meetings are seen as efforts to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s development initiatives and secure central support for infrastructure projects.
Skill Census Pilot Project
On October 2, CM Naidu launched India’s first-ever skill census pilot project in the Mangalagiri constituency. This project aims to assess skill levels through a door-to-door survey, covering 1,61,421 families in Mangalagiri and Thullur. The survey is conducted by 675 enumerators under the supervision of the Skill Development Headquarters.
