Chandrababu Naidu Introduces P4 Model for Andhra Pradesh’s Development

New Delhi [India], July 5: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that his government will implement the ‘P4 Model of Development’ in the state. The ‘P4’ stands for ‘Public, Private, People, and Partnership’.

Naidu explained, “We have decided to take up a skill census instead of a caste census in the state. We have discussed and approved this in the Cabinet. Soon we will release guidelines for converting human resources into capital investment. The aim is to create wealth and provide employment according to skills with short, medium, and long-term goals.”

He added, “We will collate skills in every family and invest in their strengths. Every family becomes an aspiring entrepreneur, increasing their per capita income. Instead of the PPP model, we want to bring the P4 system. Those in the highest positions of wealth will help those at the bottom.”

Naidu emphasized that his party and the central government will work together to reconstruct Andhra Pradesh, which has suffered significant damage in the last five years. “People have empowered the NDA alliance. We will repair the state together,” he said.

Speaking about protecting the interests of both Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Naidu stated, “The aim of P4 is to protect the interests of both states. My policy is to give equal justice to both states.”

Naidu will meet his Telangana counterpart on Saturday to discuss issues related to the bifurcation of the state and other matters. The discussion will include the bifurcation of institutions listed in Schedule IX and X of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act 2014.

Regarding resources, Naidu said, “Andhra Pradesh has the greatest resources of any state in the south. All of Andhra Pradesh is connected between the Krishna and Godavari rivers. About 3000 TMCs of water flow from the Godavari river. If we can use that water, miracles can be created in the state.”

On Amravati, Naidu mentioned, “In the last five years, the attraction of Amaravati has reduced. The main objective is to bring back the lost vibrance of Amaravati. Work is ongoing. 135 Government Offices are going to be set up in Amaravati. We are providing all the basic infrastructure needed. Soon we will complete the construction of all offices, including Iconic Buildings.”

Naidu also addressed allegations about the Telugu Desam Party demanding the Deputy Speaker’s position from its coalition partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party. He clarified, “Earlier, when the NDA government was headed by Vajpayee, we did not expect any posts. We were asked to take seven ministerial posts and did not accept. I only accepted the Speaker’s post for good relations with the NDA parties. Even now, we did not ask for any posts for the TDP, but instead of rejecting the offer from NDA, we took only two ministerial posts. We are happy with the ministerial posts given by them.”

Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers during his two-day visit to Delhi. This was his first visit to the national capital after being appointed Chief Minister. “The meeting was very positive,” he said.
