Champai Soren Joins BJP to Stop Infiltration and Develop Jharkhand
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and senior leader Champai Soren has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to address the issue of infiltration from Bangladesh and to work towards the development of Jharkhand. Champai Soren stated, “I will work for the development of Jharkhand and we will stop infiltration from Bangladesh. Tribal villages are vanishing due to Bangladeshi infiltration. Tribal existence is endangering in Jharkhand. To save tribals, we have to remain with BJP.”
Joining the BJP
Soren joined the BJP at an event in Ranchi attended by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi, among other state BJP leaders. He resigned from all positions and the primary membership of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on August 28.
