Central Railway Announces Special Trains for Festive Season

In response to the increased number of passengers during the Diwali and Chhat Puja festivals, Central Railway has announced two additional unreserved special trains between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Train Schedule and Details

The first train (No. 01019) will leave CSMT Mumbai at 2:30 PM on October 28, 2024, and will arrive in Gorakhpur at 11:00 PM the next day. The second train (No. 01020) will depart from Gorakhpur at 12:45 AM on October 30, 2024, reaching CSMT Mumbai at 10:35 AM the following day.

Route and Stops

Both trains will stop at several stations, including Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, and Basti.

Train Composition

Each train will have 15 Sleeper Class coaches and 2 guard cum brake vans, with sleeper coaches available on an unreserved basis.

Central Railways advises passengers to check detailed timings and halts on the Indian Railways’ website or the NTES app. Travelers are reminded to carry valid tickets to avoid inconvenience during the festive rush.
