CBSE Joins School Games Federation of India

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially joined the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) as of July 8, 2024. This means that from the 2024-25 school year onwards, winners of the CBSE National Games will get to participate in the SGFI National School Games, which are organized every year by SGFI.

Important Announcement

CBSE organizes sports events at Cluster, Zonal, and National levels every year for students of its affiliated schools. With this new affiliation, the winners of these events will now have the opportunity to compete at a national level through SGFI.

Warning Against Fake Organization

CBSE has issued a warning about an organization named CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO) based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. This organization has been using the CBSE name to organize sports events and participate in competitions. CBSE clarified that it has no connection with this organization and advised schools not to associate with it. Schools found participating in events organized by CBSE-WSO will face disciplinary action.

Schools are advised to verify any communication from such organizations on the official CBSE website: CBSE Sports.
