CBI Investigates Yantra India Manager in Jabalpur for Alleged Bribery
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against the Works Manager of Yantra India Limited’s Grey Iron Foundry in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The manager is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 1,00,000.
Details of the Allegation
According to the CBI, the manager allegedly asked for the bribe on May 18, 2023, from the son of a complainant. The bribe was reportedly in exchange for signing a Work Completion Certificate (WCC).
Complaint and Investigation
The case was registered based on a complaint from a Jabalpur-based private service agency proprietor. The proprietor claimed that the manager did not sign the WCC for June 2023 and demanded money. The demand was allegedly made via a WhatsApp call, which was video recorded.
CBI conducted searches at the manager’s home and office in Jabalpur, recovering incriminating documents. The investigation is ongoing.
