CBI Files Second Charge Sheet in NEET UG 2024 Question Paper Theft Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted a second charge sheet against six individuals in connection with the NEET UG 2024 question paper theft case. The charge sheet was filed before the Special Court for CBI cases in Patna.

Details of the Accused

The accused include:

  • Baldev Kumar alias Chintu
  • Sunny Kumar
  • Ahsanul Haque (Principal, Oasis School, Hazaribagh and City Coordinator of Hazaribagh)
  • Md. Imtiyaz Alam (Vice-Principal, Oasis School and Centre Superintendent)
  • Jamaluddin alias Jamal (Reporter of a Newspaper, Hazaribagh)
  • Aman Kumar Singh

The charge sheet includes various provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Background

The investigation revealed that Ahsanul Haque and Md. Imtiyaz Alam conspired with others to steal the NEET UG 2024 question paper. A total of 48 individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. The CBI has also identified the beneficiary candidates and shared their details with the National Testing Agency for necessary action.

National Testing Agency -: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an Indian government agency that conducts entrance exams for higher education institutions.

Beneficiaries -: Beneficiaries are people who gain an advantage or benefit from something, in this case, those who might have benefited from the stolen exam paper.
