Defeats Novak Djokovic in Straight Sets

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz won his second consecutive Wimbledon title on Sunday by defeating Serbia’s Novak Djokovic. The match took place at the center court in London, and Alcaraz dominated from the start, winning 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).

Alcaraz shared his thoughts on the victory, saying, “Well, I think, it’s an unbelievable achievement for me, being Wimbledon champion back-to-back, being a runner-up champion and Wimbledon champion the same year. So it’s something great, something that, honestly, I didn’t expect, to do it so fast, but I’m really happy about it. It’s something that I’m working on every day to achieve. So it has been a great match, a great achievement, and right now all I think about is trying to keep going.”

In the final, Alcaraz started strong, winning the first set 6-2 in just 41 minutes. He continued his momentum into the second set, also winning 6-2. Djokovic struggled to make a comeback and, despite a strong effort in the third set, Alcaraz won the tiebreak 7-4 to secure the championship.
