In Ottawa, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke out against the recent violence at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton. During a session at the House of Commons, Trudeau emphasized that the violence was not representative of the Sikh or Hindu communities in Canada. He highlighted the importance of unity, especially during celebrations like Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas.

The incident involved attacks by Khalistani extremists on Hindu-Canadian devotees, including children and women, within the temple premises. The Hindu Canadian Foundation shared a video of the attack, condemning the actions of the extremists.

The Indian High Commission in Canada also condemned the “violent disruption” by anti-India elements outside a consular camp. They expressed concerns over the safety of Indian nationals and stated that future events would depend on security arrangements by local authorities.
