Melbourne [Australia], August 22: Australian all-rounder Cameron Green is excited about his role in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India. Green mentioned that he is in great shape and ready to contribute both as a bowler and a batter.

Increased Workload for All-Rounders

Australian captain Pat Cummins announced that the bowling workload for all-rounders Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh will increase during the five-match series. This strategy aims to support the main bowlers, Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood, throughout the intense series.

Series Schedule

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will start with a day match at Perth Stadium from November 22 to November 26. The second Test will be a day-night match at Adelaide Oval from December 6 to 10. The third Test will be held at The Gabba in Brisbane from December 14 to 18. The Boxing Day Test will take place at Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30. The final Test will be at Sydney Cricket Ground from January 3 to 7.

Green has taken 35 wickets in Tests and scored a magnificent 174 against New Zealand. He aims to continue as a genuine all-rounder and is also looking to establish himself in Australia’s white-ball teams. He is part of the squad for the upcoming white-ball series in the UK and is eyeing the ICC Champions Trophy next year in Pakistan.

Green said, “Physically, I am in a really good place to contribute with both batting and bowling. I love playing for Western Australia in red-ball cricket, but I always want to play for Australia in all formats.”
