BYC to Announce Details of Baloch National Gathering in Quetta

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) is organizing a national gathering to protest against the systematic extermination of Baloch people in Pakistan. BYC organizer Mahrang Baloch announced that details will be shared on their YouTube channel this evening.

The gathering aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the Baloch population, including human rights violations and the exploitation of natural resources. The BYC urges all supporters to participate and show solidarity with the Baloch community in their quest for justice and respect.

Human rights abuses in Balochistan, such as enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and arbitrary detentions, create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity. Additionally, the exploitation of Balochistan’s natural resources without equitable distribution of benefits exacerbates poverty and unemployment.

Global bodies have condemned these violations and urged Pakistan to investigate and prosecute those responsible. The BYC highlighted the ongoing protests by Baloch families in Turbat, demanding the safe return of their loved ones who have been missing since Eid.
