Chief Minister’s Response
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the site and announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the deceased. He assured that the government would cover the medical expenses of the injured and decide on further compensation after visiting them in the hospital.

The Chief Minister stated that the building was unauthorized and collapsed due to substandard construction, not the rain. He directed the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) to halt all illegal constructions. Notices and suspensions have been issued to responsible officials.
