The Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) celebrated its 32nd BWWA Day with great enthusiasm at the Frontier Headquarters in Guwahati. The event was inaugurated by Nidhi Deouskar, Head of BWWA Guwahati, who lit the ceremonial lamp in the presence of all BWWA members.

The celebration included vibrant cultural programs that added to the festive atmosphere. In a solemn tribute, the wives of BSF martyrs who sacrificed their lives while protecting the nation were honored for their strength and courage.

Nidhi Deouskar spoke on the occasion, highlighting BWWA’s role in supporting and uplifting the families of BSF personnel. She emphasized the organization’s tireless efforts in ensuring the welfare of BSF families, both serving and retired.

Established in 1992, BWWA aims to promote the welfare of families of all serving and retired BSF personnel. This includes the rehabilitation of widows, vocational training for economic empowerment, and various charitable missions. Over the years, BWWA has emerged as a non-profit organization dedicated to training and assisting spouses of BSF personnel in skill development, education for children, career counseling, health, lifestyle improvements, housing for widows, and addressing their concerns.

BWWA continues to strive toward its mission of strengthening the community, ensuring the well-being of BSF families, and equipping them to face life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.
