BSF Stops Smuggling Attempt by Bangladeshi Smugglers in Tripura
In Agartala, Tripura, Border Security Force (BSF) troops successfully stopped a major smuggling attempt by Bangladeshi smugglers early on Thursday morning at 2:45 am. The smugglers ignored warnings from the BSF and tried to attack the troops on duty. In self-defense, the BSF used non-lethal weapons, causing the smugglers to flee and leave behind large quantities of sugar.
It was later learned that two Bangladeshi smugglers were injured and are currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Bangladesh. The BSF remains on high alert at the border to prevent any anti-national activities and cross-border crimes.
