BSF Stops Drone Smuggling Heroin and Pistol in Punjab’s Ferozepore
In Ferozepore, Punjab, the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully intercepted a drone carrying illegal items from across the border. The drone was found to be transporting 500 grams of heroin, a pistol, and a magazine. This incident is part of a series of recent recoveries by the BSF aimed at curbing smuggling activities.
Recent Recoveries by BSF
On Thursday, the BSF seized 13 kilograms of suspected heroin in the Tarn Taran Border district. The BSF Punjab Frontier highlighted the impact of these recoveries on trans-border criminal activities. Additionally, a search operation in collaboration with Tarn Taran police led to the discovery of an improvised Pakistani drone in Naushera Dhalla village.

Other Incidents
Earlier, on October 7, the BSF found 560 grams of suspected heroin in a plastic container in Ratankhurd village, Amritsar. The container was cleverly disguised with yellow adhesive tape and an iron wire hook. Similarly, on October 5, a 68-gram packet of suspected heroin was recovered in Dal village, Tarn Taran district, wrapped in adhesive tape with a metal wire loop.
