BSF Recovers China-Made Drones with Heroin in Punjab

The Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab has been actively recovering China-made drones carrying suspected heroin. On June 24, 2024, BSF troops in Amritsar district spotted a blinking light of a drone during the morning hours. They neutralized the drone and recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic carrying 420 grams of heroin wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.

Earlier, on Saturday, BSF recovered another DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone along with a pistol in Punjab’s Ferozepur district. The pistol was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and attached to the drone. In another operation on June 22, 2024, BSF troops, in collaboration with Punjab Police, recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone with 520 grams of heroin in Fazilka district. The heroin was wrapped in red adhesive tape and attached to the drone with a metal ring and an illuminating stick.

These operations were conducted based on specific intelligence inputs, and the BSF successfully neutralized and recovered the drones and narcotics.
