BSF Punjab Finds Drones and Heroin Near Amritsar Border
The Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab made a significant discovery near the Amritsar border on Saturday. They found three drones and a large amount of heroin, according to officials.
Details of the Recovery
The BSF recovered two DJI Mavic 3 Classic drones and one China-made DJI Air 3S drone. Along with these, they found a package containing 540 grams of heroin. The heroin was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and had a copper wire loop.
Operation and Neutralization
The BSF shared on X that they suspected the drones were used to smuggle drugs across the border. They successfully neutralized the drones using advanced technical countermeasures during their operation.
Previous Recoveries
Earlier this month, the BSF also found two drones in the Amritsar border area. These were recovered from Dhanoe Khurd and Rattankund areas. The BSF believes these drones were brought down by the technical countermeasures they have in place.
