BSF Officer Injured in Anti-Smuggling Operation in West Tripura
In West Tripura, a Border Security Force (BSF) head constable was injured during an anti-smuggling operation. The incident took place in the Dudhpokar area near the Border Out Post Kalsimura. A group of miscreants attacked the officer with sharp weapons and bamboo sticks when he tried to stop them from smuggling contraband across the border.
The attackers attempted to snatch the officer’s weapon, prompting him to fire a single round from his rifle, which caused the miscreants to flee. The officer sustained head injuries and is receiving treatment at Boxanagar Community Health Centre.
An FIR has been filed against the attackers, and investigations are ongoing to catch those responsible. Security has been increased in the area to prevent further smuggling activities and ensure justice is served.
