BSF Leads Cleanliness Drive at Ramnagar Railway Station in Udhampur
The Border Security Force (BSF) carried out a cleanliness campaign at Ramnagar Railway Station in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. This initiative was part of the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2024’ campaign, held on Saturday.
Participation and Leadership
Inspector General Rajesh Kumar Gurung of the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) BSF, Udhampur, stated that more than 500 personnel took part in the drive. He urged the public to maintain cleanliness in public places just as they do in their homes.
Swachh Bharat Mission 2024
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ the Department of Justice is launching the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024’ from September 17 to October 2. The theme, ‘Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata,’ aims to encourage collective action and citizen participation in cleanliness efforts across India.
During this period, officers and staff will take the ‘Swachhta Oath’ and engage in ‘Shramdaan,’ which includes deep cleaning and beautification activities at the Jaisalmer House complex. The campaign will culminate on October 2, Swachh Bharat Diwas, honoring Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and promoting cleanliness as a way of life.
