BSF, Forest Department, and Jatrapur Police Uncover Illegal Ganja Cultivation in Nirbhoypur
In a significant operation against illegal ganja cultivation, a joint team comprising the Border Security Force (BSF), Forest Department, and Jatrapur Police Station conducted a raid at the residence of Babul Mazumdar, son of Khokan Mazumdar, in Village Nirbhoypur, West Bengal.
According to an official release, the operation was based on specific information about Babul Mazumdar preparing a ganja plant nursery at the back of his house. The joint team destroyed more than 15,000 ganja saplings by uprooting them. Legal action is being taken by the Forest Department and Jatrapur Police Station against the landowners.
