BSF and Punjab Police Recover Drone with Heroin in Tarn Taran, Punjab
In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police recovered a drone carrying a large amount of heroin in Tarn Taran, Punjab. The incident occurred on September 12, when BSF neutralized a drone intrusion on the Tarn Taran border using technical countermeasures.
Upon receiving information about the fallen drone, BSF and Punjab Police conducted a joint search operation in the suspected area. At around 4:43 pm, they successfully recovered an assembled quadcopter drone along with a packet of suspected heroin weighing 6.230 kg from a farming field near Gilpan village. The narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, and the packet had an improvised loop and two illuminating sticks attached.
Earlier, on September 9, BSF troops recovered 1.180 kg of suspected heroin in the border area of Amritsar district.
