The Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police conducted a joint search operation on June 30, 2024, in Tarn Taran, Punjab, and recovered a China-made DJI Mavic-3 Classic drone. The operation was based on information from the BSF intelligence wing.

Details of the Operation:

On June 30, 2024, BSF and Punjab Police planned and executed a search operation in Tarn Taran district. At around 08:45 am, they found the drone in a farming field near the village of Kalsh Havelian.

This successful operation showcases the prompt sharing of information and coordinated efforts between BSF and Punjab Police to tackle the issue of illicit drones crossing the border.

Previous Incident:

On June 24, 2024, BSF neutralized another China-made DJI Mavic-3 Classic drone in Amritsar. This drone was carrying a packet of suspected heroin weighing 420 grams, wrapped in yellow adhesive tape. The vigilant BSF troops observed the drone’s blinking light and tracked its movement, leading to its recovery.

These operations underscore the commitment of BSF and Punjab Police to prevent illegal activities involving drones along the border.
