BRS Refutes Congress Claims: Medigadda Barrage Full of Water After Monsoon
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has announced that the Medigadda Barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, is filled with water following the recent monsoon in Telangana. This statement counters the Congress party’s claims that the barrage had completely collapsed.
In a post on X, the BRS shared a video showing the Medigadda Barrage full of water. They wrote, “The Kaleshwaram project that stood up against the conspiracies of the Congress… the Medigadda barrage is filled with water!”
The BRS further stated, “Despite months of negative propaganda by the Congress party and hundreds of YouTube channels claiming that the Medigadda Barrage had completely collapsed and that the Kaleshwaram project had been washed away, millions of cusecs of floodwater are now flowing at Medigadda, washing away their falsehoods.”
They emphasized that the Kaleshwaram project will always remain a vital water source for Telangana, regardless of any conspiracies. The party added, “Whoever tries to tarnish the Kaleshwaram project out of spite for KCR will surely remain insignificant in history. Jai Telangana.”
Earlier, reports of damage to a few pillars of the Medigadda Barrage had sparked a political controversy, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visiting the site.
