Brave Indian Soldier Loses Life in Kupwara Encounter with Pakistani Intruders

In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a group of armed personnel from Pakistan crossed the Line of Control and attacked an Indian Army post. Taking advantage of bad weather and poor visibility, the intruders fired on the post from close proximity.

One intruder was killed in the exchange of fire, and the Indian Army recovered weapons, ammunition, and war-like stores. Unfortunately, two Indian soldiers were injured, and one of them succumbed to his injuries.

The Public Relations Officer (Defence), Srinagar, stated, “Similar attempts by infiltrators, actively aided and abetted by the Pakistani Army, have exploited thick foliage and poor visibility conditions but have always, as today, been successfully thwarted and disrupted.”

The Indian Army remains committed to maintaining the sanctity of the Line of Control and defeating the nefarious designs of the Pakistan Army.
