Bomb Threats Target Indian Airlines

From Monday night to Tuesday evening, 50 flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats, according to aviation sources. Major airlines like IndiGo, Vistara, and Akasa Air were affected, with threats to both domestic and international flights.

IndiGo’s Response

IndiGo reported 11 additional threats by Tuesday evening, following 10 on Monday. Affected flights included routes from Bengaluru to Lucknow, Mumbai to Istanbul, and more.

Akasa Air’s Measures

Akasa Air confirmed receiving threats and is following safety procedures. Their Emergency Response teams are coordinating with security authorities to ensure passenger safety.

Vistara Flight Incident

A Vistara flight from Delhi to Kathmandu received a bomb warning. The Nepal Army bomb disposal team was dispatched for inspection, confirmed by Jaynarayan Acharya, Chief District Officer of Sunsari district.

Government Actions

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu announced additional airport checks to ensure safety. The Ministry of Home Affairs is working to identify those responsible for the threats, who will be placed on a no-fly list.
